...someone's been watching Avatar! 
Yeah. I joined the bandwagon. Finished watching the last of it about a week ago, and can safely say I'm in love, with both the fandom and obviously Zuko. I've made my way through the comic instalments too, but haven't gotten through Legend of Korra yet, so no spoilers pleaaasse! |D
Uh. Anyway. This one started as a random sketch of Zuko firebending, all sketchy and not really serious, and somehow I ended up setting it during his season finale fight with Azula [she is one hell of a crazy woman and I don't like her]. If it weren't for the blue fire I suppose this image would be less of a give-away, though. Anyway, if any of my watchers haven't seen the glorious Avatar, there are spoilers below! Watch out!
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS FIGHT. The music, the pacing, just, UGH. And it's also such a critical point for Zuko... I practically died inside when he sacrificed himself to save Katara. It's like the ultimate proof he's changed into the beautiful person he should be ;________; It also took me three seasons to even like him, because he was a total jerk in season 1, and in season 2 I wanted to slap him across the face because of what he did in Ba Sing Se, and then in season 3 BAM GOOD GUY ZUKO IS HERE.
That and I also spent all three seasons excitedly watching his hair grow - long and messy totally beats that pony tail look, lemme tell you...

So, uh, yeah. I'm still kind of dead because I'm in the middle of college right now, but this artwork forced itself into existence and it's the only thing I've had inspiration for over the last three days. So now it's done. Figured I might as well finish it on the one day I obstinately refuse to do college work [haha BIRTHDAYS ROCK!].
I hope you guys like this! It's probably the best semi-lined work I've put out so far, so I'm really pleased.
Though the perspective might be a bit screwy... I gave it my best shot XD

Also, what is with me falling for characters with tortured backstories, short tempers, gorgeous brown hair and fire wielding abilities!?
